Petzl GYM, PANDION, and PANJI Harnesses recalled due to fall hazard

Issue
A user of the Petzl GYM, PANDION, and PANJI harnesses may put the harness on backwards, clip into a non-weight bearing loop on the backside of the harness, fall from height and sustain serious injury, including paraplegia or death. As September 12, 2024, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 1 report of an incident resulting in injury.

What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Petzl GYM, PANDION, and PANJI harnesses and contact the company to have the product modified. For more information, consumers can contact Petzl toll-free at 877-807-3805, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. MT, Monday through Friday, or by email at Returns@petzl.com . Consumers can also visit the company’s website . Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Petzl America, Inc. Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind consumers to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
