Stress at critical connection points within the e-bike rack may cause cracks to form. These cracks may worsen due to cyclic fatigue, where repeated loading and unloading progressively weaken the material. Over time, this weakening may lead to structural failures, compromising the integrity of the rack and increasing the risk of component detachment during transport, posing an injury hazard. Additionally, the E-Bike Rack failure can allow a bicycle to detach and become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash. As of September 20 th , 2024, the company has received 16 reports of incidents in Canada. No injuries have been reported.
