Dräger has been made aware of an incident involving the UPS battery on the Technimount THS™ Neonatal Cart switching off during patient transfer with the Dräger incubator Babyleo® TN500. There were no injuries or impact on patient care resulting from this incident, however Dräger Medical Canada Inc., the distributor of the cart has deemed necessary to initiate a recall to advise users to adhere to the battery IFU to prevent a similar failure.
