Health Canada’s sampling and evaluation program has determined that the recalled glazed ceramic plate contains lead in excess of allowable limits. Lead is highly toxic, especially to children. A range of serious health effects have been associated with exposure to lead and cadmium, including anemia, vomiting, diarrhea, heart and immune system. In extreme cases, there have been deaths. As of November 15, 2024, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled glazed ceramic dish and return the product to the place of purchase for a refund or dispose the product and submit proof of purchase in exchange for credit.
