Various Sanrio Hello Kitty plush toys recalled due to choking hazard

Health Canada’s sampling and evaluation program has determined that these plush toys do not meet the Toys Regulations under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act . The hard plastic nose on these plush toys can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children. As of November 18, 2024, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and return it to the place of purchase for a refund. For more information, consumers can contact Treehouse Toys by telephone at 587-990-8338 from 9am to 5pm MT Monday to Friday or by email at info@treehousetoys.ca . Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind consumers to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
