Stanley-Branded "Switchback" and "Trigger Action" Travel Mugs recalled due to burn hazard

Issue
The threads on affected lids of the travel mug can shrink when exposed to heat and torque which can cause the lids to unexpectedly detach from the mug during use, posing a risk of burn injury to consumers. As of December 12, 2024, the company has received 3 reports of incidents for which one burn injury was reported in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 16 reports of incidents and 2 reports of burn injuries.

What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and contact Stanley for a free replacement lid, including shipping. Consumers will be instructed on how to dispose of the products to avoid further risk of injury.
