BD has identified through customer complaints that the affected lots of the Pronto™ Quick Release Needle Holder may prematurely disengage from the needle during use due to a manufacturing defect. This issue has led to a small number of confirmed needlestick injuries and, while rare, presents a potential risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens. Recall start date: July 8, 2025
