RIDGID 18V brushless 21-degree and 30-degree framing nailers recalled due to laceration hazard

Issue
The dual action engagement system on the nailers, which requires both the work piece contact element (nose-piece) to be depressed and the trigger to be pulled at the same time in order to discharge a nail, can malfunction and involuntarily discharge a nail by pulling the trigger alone, posing a laceration hazard to consumers. As of July 22, 2025 , the company has received no reports of injuries or incidents in Canada or the United States.

What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled RIDGID 18V brushless 21-degree and 30-degree framing nailers and visit the company’s website to verify if their nailer is included in this recall and to obtain instructions on how to send the nailer back to TTI Consumer Power Tools, Inc. for repair. For more information, consumers can contact TTI Consumer Power Tools, Inc. by telephone at 1-800-597-9624, from 9:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday, or visit the company website . Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and TTI Consumer Power Tools, Inc. Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind consumers to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
