Vesta Tankless Hot Water Heater recalled due to carbon monoxide poisoning hazard

Issue
The exhaust duct can crack, allowing gases to escape inside of the home, posing a carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning hazard that can result in death or serious injury. As of October 10, 2025, the company has received 10 reports of cracked exhaust ducts in Canada, and no reports of injury or death. In the United States, the company has received 33 reports of cracked exhaust ducts and no reports of injury or death.

What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled water heater and contact VESTA.DS to have a certified technician install the free repair. For more information, consumers can contact VESTA.DS by telephone at 1-888-505-5525, from 8:30am to 6pm ET, Monday through Friday, by email at condensingwaterheater@realtimeresults.net or online at www.recallrtr.com/condensingwaterheater or at https://www.vestahws.com and click on “Recall” under the “Documents/Support” tab at the top of the page for more information. Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and VESTA.DS, Inc. Health Canada would like to remind consumers to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
