Milwaukee chainsaw recalled due to laceration hazard

Issue
The chain brake may not prevent the chain from moving when the brake is activated, posing a laceration hazard. As of October 21, 2025, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received two reports of incidents and one report of a laceration.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Milwaukee Tool M18 FUEL 12" and 14" Top Handle Chainsaws and contact Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation for a free repair. Consumers should register their product at e Service Tool Support | Milwaukee Tool to receive a prepaid shipping label to return their product to Milwaukee Tool for a repair. For more information, consumers can contact Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation by telephone at 833-953-2012, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET, Monday – Friday, by E-Service Portal at https://service.milwaukeetool.com/support /eservice or visit the company website at https://www.milwaukeetool.com/news/press-releases . Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation. Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind consumers to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
