The CH-200 and CH-200M ceiling tube supports include a suspension mechanism and rotating shaft that allow x-ray tube positioning. It was found that the mounting shaft may crack and eventually break due to material aging. in rare cases, the protective components may not function properly if the shaft fails while the unit is lifted forward.
