STIHL BR 800 Backpack Blower recalled due to laceration hazard

Issue
STIHL Limited has issued a product safety recall for BR800 C-E Z and BR 800 X-Z backpack Blower models due to a possible fan wheel molding defect that could result in the fracture of the fan wheel during operation of the blower. As of December 17, 2025, the company has received no reports of injury in Canada.

What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using any STIHL BR 800 Backpack Blower affected by this recall and return it to their preferred servicing STIHL dealer for inspection (and replacement, if necessary) of the fan wheel.
