Custom-made window coverings manufactured by Apara-Transiplast recalled due to choking hazard for children

Health Canada has determined that the recalled blinds do not meet the Corded Window Coverings Regulations and pose a choking hazard for young children. The products have small parts (end cap of lower rail) that can easily detach. As of February 17, 2026, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and contact the company to have the product corrected free of charge. For more information, consumers can contact Apara-Transiplast Inc. by telephone at 418-653-8529, Monday to Friday from 8 am to 1 pm (EST), or by email at info@transiplast.ca . Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind consumers to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
