Electrical conductors within the sauna heater kits can overheat, posing a fire hazard. As of March 18, 2026, the company has received 1 report of overheating in Canada and no reports of injury. In the United States, the company has received 1​​​1​ reports of overheating and no reports of injury.

What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled ​DIY ​Sauna ​H​eater ​K​its and register on the DIY Cold Plunge website for a full refund. For more information, consumers can contact DIY Cold Plunge by email at orders@diycoldplung​e​.com or visit the company website www.diycoldplunge.com/pages/recall . Consumers will be asked to submit written and photo proof that the product has been destroyed/disposed of or request a prepaid shipping label to return the product. Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and DIY Cold Plunge. Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind consumers to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
