SCUBAPRO Monorail Weight Pockets recalled due to drowning hazard

Issue
The D-ring handle that is used to unlock the weight pocket from the Buoyancy Compensator Device (BCD) can detach during use. If this happens, the user will not be able to remove the weight pockets in an emergency to rise to the surface, posing a drowning hazard. As of March 20, 2026 , the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 2 reports of incidents and no reports of injuries .

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled SCUBAPRO Monorail Weight Pocket and contact SCUBAPRO for a free repair . Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Johnson Outdoors Diving LLC.
