Hazard description
The snubber circuit can emit flames if it shorts, posing a risk of serious injury due to fire hazard. As of September 1, 2026, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 2 reports of a component on the control board shorting. No injuries have been reported.
What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Amana Through-the-Wall Air Conditioners or Heat Pumps and contact Daikin Comfort Technologies to submit a request for a full refund of the unit. For more information, consumers can contact Daikin Comfort Technologies by telephone toll-free at 833-730-0939 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. CT or by visiting the company website . Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Daikin Comfort Technologies. Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind consumers to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
