1975–1976 Volvo 200 Series Recall

Certain Volvo 242, 244, 245 and 260 may experience excess pressure build-up in the fuel tank possibly causing fuel to surge out of the tank filler neck when the filler cap is removed. Some fuel tanks may also have improper soldering in the drain plug area that could allow fuel to seep from the tank. Also, some 260 series vehicles may not be equipped with a fuel tank feed pump. This condition may result in vapour lock causing the vehicle to stall.
