1985–1986 Gmc P Series Recall

On certain P30 and P35 vehicles equipped with i-beam front axles and 16 inch wheels and tires the tie rod end could contact the tire inner wall during combined cornering and braking maneuvers. This contact could cause grooving of the tire and eventually result in tire failure and possible loss of vehicle control. Correction: standard 16 inch wheels and tires will be replaced with 19.5 Inch wheels and tires to increase the clearance nad eliminate contact between the tires and tie rod end.
