1987–1988 Itasca Motorhome Recall

Certain vehicles were assembled with incorrect heat resistant covers on the wiring located above the exhaust system on the driver's side, an inadequate muffler heat shield and incorrectly positioned rear muffler hangars. These deficiencies can permit a fire to develop under the motorhome floor when the engine is working hard, possibly resulting in occupant injury. Correction: Wiring harness covers will be replaced, a new heat shield will be added and the muffler hangars will be inspected and repositioned.
