Issue
Hazard description
On certain Passport I-Mark turbo, the pcv valve may provide inadequate air flow under low engine load conditions. This can allow a water/oil mixture to build up in the hose from the oil separator to the air inlet duct. After the engine is stopped, the water/oil mixture can, under cold weather conditions, freeze and block the separator to air duct hose. This could cause increased crankcase pressure and oil leaks. If a sufficient quantity of oil contacts the hot exhaust system, an engine compartment fire could result without prior warning. Correction: PCV valve will be replaced with a newly designed valve.
