Hazard description
On certain Volvo 244 and 245, a nut which joins the wheel spindle and a ball joint in the front suspension may be undertorqued. This could cause the ball joint and suspension strut to separate from each other and vehicle control would be adversely affected. Correction: Vehicles will be inspected for proper ball joint attachment and ball joint assembly will be replaced if necessary.
