1992–1999 Freightliner Fln Recall

On certain vehicles with stand up right hand drive conversion, the cross shaft connecting the right hand steering column to the left hand steering column is equipped with a mitre box and u-joint at each side of the shaft with keyways at each connection. These keys can work loose and fall out, resulting in a loss of steering on the right hand side without prior warning to the driver. Correction: Dealers will replace the cross shaft assembly.
