2000 Chevrolet Malibu Recall

Certain vehicles do not comply with the requirements of CMVSS 301 - Fuel System Integrity. The fuel fill fitting may not be properly secured to the fuel tank. In that condition, fuel leakage would exceed the permissible amount allowed by the standard particularly after refueling or when the tank is more than half full. Correction: Dealers will inspect the fuel tank and replace if necessary.
