Issue
Hazard description
On certain fifth wheel and travel trailers equipped with an optional exterior cook top, there is a rubber gas hose on the exterior cook top that is connected to a 8" or 9" copper tube. The copper tube is connected to the burner manifold under the cook top cover. It is possible that the copper tube and connector were not installed and the rubber tubing was connected directly to the burner manifold under the cook top. The hose is exposed to the heat generated by the burners and may melt causing a fire in the cook top box. This may cause an explosion and fire to spread to the rest of the trailer. Correction: Gas connection hose will be replaced with the proper sub assembly.
