1999–2001 Tomos Targa Recall

Certain mopeds fail to meet the following Safety Standards: 1) Minimum stopping distance specified in CMVSS 122. 2) No gross axle weight rating specified or vehicle type specified as required by CMVSS 6(1). 3) No label stating restricted use as required by CMVSS 6(9). 4) No Statement of Compliance label permanently affixed as required by CMVSS 7(a). 5) Lettering on Statement of Compliance label is not in block capital letters as required by CMVSS 7(c)(iii). 6) No daytime running light as required by CMVSS 108 (17) & (18). 7) The fuel control and manual choke are not identified as required by CMVSS 123(9) Correction: Dealers will install the necessary components and labels as required.
