Hazard description
On certain vehicles, the steering gear mounting bolts were over-torqued during vehicle assembly and could fail. The steering gear is mounted to the vehicle's frame rail with 3 bolts. Failure of two of the three bolts could result in the loss of steering, increasing the risk of a crash. Correction: Dealers will install new steering gear mounting bolts.
