2004–2005 National Rv Tropi-Cal Recall

Issued August 25, 2004
Issue
Hazard description
On certain motorhomes, depending on the floor plan configuration and options, the actual weight on the rear passenger side tires could exceed the tire capacity at the current cold inflation pressure setting of 95 lbs. Correction: Dealers will install an updated certification label specifying a cold inflation pressure of 110 lbs for the rear tires. This higher inflation pressure will increase the gross load carrying capacity of the tires. To conserve additional weight resources, the tow hitch vertical tongue capacity should also be reduced from 1,000 lbs to 500 lbs.
