Hazard description
On certain motorcycles, moisture may penetrate the cavity underneath the electronic controller of the fuel pump. If this happens, the contacts of the controller's electric plug can become corroded, causing the fuel pump to fail. In this situation, the engine could shut off due to lack of fuel and subsequently losing propulsion to the rear wheel. Correction: Dealers will replace the seal that protects the fuel pump electronics.
