2004–2005 Polaris Sportsman 700 Recall

On certain ATVs, the Electronic Control Module (ECM) could fail and overheat. If this were to occur, the excessive heat could cause a fire, possibly resulting in severe injury or death. Owners are advised to stop riding their ATV's and to disconnect the battery cables until repairs have been completed. Correction: Dealers will replace the ECM. Note: This recall is superseded by recall 2008031.
