Hazard description
On certain trailers equipped with toolboxes, the mounting system, which attaches the toolbox to the trailer, contains two aluminium brackets which may develop fatigue cracks. Over time, the brackets may fail, causing the toolbox to separate from the trailer. If the toolbox separates while the trailer is in motion, vehicles on the road are at risk of collision with the toolbox and its contents. Correction: Owners will need to locate a certified welder to have the remedy performed. Reinke will provide aluminium gussets along with detailed installation instructions for the welder.
