Issue
Hazard description
On certain motorcycles, the ignition switch wiring harness may have been improperly routed at the time of production. If the wiring harness is not routed properly, it can rub between the clutch cable/throttle cables. Continued rubbing can eventually lead to a short circuit which will cause the engine to stall. The lights may also go out, and the engine will be unable to be restarted. This can increase the risk of a crash. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, where required, reroute the ignition switch wiring harness.
