2003–2004 Ford Mustang Recall

On certain Mustang SVT Cobra vehicles, the accelerator pedal may come into contact with floor carpeting during heavy throttle application. Interference from the floor carpeting may prevent the accelerator pedal from returning to the idle position when released. Unexpected continued throttle application and/or increased stopping distances could result in a vehicle crash. Correction: Dealers will install a bracket over the cut-out in the carpet behind the accelerator pedal.
