Hazard description
On certain trucks, a software programming error in the Electronic Control Module (ECM) may create unexpected elevated exhaust temperatures. These elevated exhaust temperatures could present a fire hazard in a situation where the vehicle's exhaust is in close proximity to materials or substances that can melt, burn or explode. Correction: Dealers will install updated ECM software.
