2005–2009 Doepker Tandem Spring Ride Pony Pup Recall

On certain 2008 and 2009 gravel pony pup trailers, including two prototype units released in 2005, the frame may develop fatigue cracks at the frame transition pipe. These cracks may occur at the welded connection of the vertical cylinder mounting plates to the transition pipe, and at a gusset on the backside of the transition pipe. Should these cracks be allowed to propagate, they could eventually lead to a separation of the transition parts from the trailer pole, causing severe damage to the trailer, and possible injury to the operator or bystanders. Correction: Dealers will reinforce the structure in the affected area.
