Hazard description
On certain vehicles, trailer hitches, whether installed during vehicle assembly, or sold as an over-the-counter accessory and installed by the dealer, may contain inadequate welds and, as a result, could eventually fail. This could allow the towed unit to separate from the towing vehicle, causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will repair weld the hitch assembly.
