Certain tires fail to comply with the requirements of CMVSS 109 - Passenger Car Tires. Specifically, these tires fail to meet the plunger energy test standard for an "Extra Load" labeled tire. These tires were designed and manufactured for use in European and other countries, and not intended for sale in North America. Correction: Dealers will replace tires with North American compliant versions. Note: For the 17” Dunlop Winter Sport 3D tires, the affected production date codes are "3605" through "2208" and for the 18” Dunlop Winter Sport M3 tires, the affected production date codes are 3605" through "2708" which can be viewed on the sidewall of the tires..
