Hazard description
On certain snowmobiles equipped with electric start, the starter ring gear may have been manufactured incorrectly and, as a result, could develop cracks. These cracks could eventually cause ring gear failure, with possible resulting debris leaving the engine compartment, and causing serious personal injury or death to the operator and/or bystanders. Correction: Dealers will install a ring gear kit.
