2008 Britax Diplomat (E9l6869) Recall

Certain child restraint systems were produced with a printed material defect involving an instruction in the French version of the user guide. The user guide provides an instruction in English on page 7 that is correct, however in the French version on page 45 of the user guide the word "au-dessus" (above) was misspelled to "au-dessous" (below) the shoulder. Using the child restraint in forward facing mode while placing the harness below the child's shoulders, would increase the risk of injuries in car accident. Correction: Britax will send a kit which will contain an instruction sheet and an adhesive label with the correct instruction in French to be placed over defective language on page 45 of the user guide.
