Hazard description
On certain vehicles, a brake line was installed in close proximity to the battery and battery tray, and can rub against them. This can damage the coating on the brake line and expose bare steel. Also, if the battery is overfilled, acid spillage can soften the brake line coating - allowing corrosion to take hold. Either of these problems could result in brake fluid leakage which could cause partial brake failure. This could result in a vehicle crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will repair and relocate the brake line as needed.
