2010 Gmc Savana Recall

Certain vehicles equipped with a 145 amp alternator may develop a low resistance short within the voltage regulator. In some cases, if the circuit does not open, the low resistance short could eventually generate enough heat to result in an engine compartment fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the alternator. Note: This recall is superseded by recall 2010231.
