Issue
Hazard description
On certain fire trucks, after repeated use with excessive force, the accelerator pedal arm may bend and cause the foot pedal to move closer to the floor. If the pedal arm bends far enough, the foot pedal may contact the cab floor without warning and stick in the full throttle position. An accelerator pedal stuck at full throttle may result in very high vehicle speeds and make it difficult to stop or slow the vehicle, which could result in a loss of control and a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the accelerator pedal arm with a redesigned version.
