2001–2007 Pierce Dash Recall

On certain trucks, the trunnion ears on the cab tilt cylinders pivot may fail while the cab is being raised or lowered for vehicle servicing or maintenance. This would allow the cab to drop until the safety flow velocity fuses engage and stop cab movement. A person in the path of the moving cab may be injured as a result. Correction: Dealers will install safety signs instructing operators to stand clear of cab while it is being tilted.
