2016 Forest River Shockwave Recall

Issued December 9, 2015
Issue
Hazard description
Certain travel trailers may have been manufactured with an incorrect liquid propane (L.P.) detector and carbon monoxide detector. The installed component only includes a liquid propane detector, but not a carbon monoxide detector. If an enclosed recreational vehicle is missing a carbon monoxide detector, it would not alert the occupants to a possible elevated level of carbon monoxide, which could result in asphyxiation or carbon monoxide poisoning to the vehicle occupants. Correction: Dealers will inspect and replace the correct combination L.P. detector/carbon monoxide detector.
