Issue
Hazard description
On certain side-by-side ATV’s, water can enter the throttle cable through the cable adjuster in certain conditions such as when leaving the vehicle exposed to rain, operating in extremely wet conditions (e.g., stream crossing) or washing the vehicle with a pressure washer. If the vehicle is then operated in freezing conditions (below 0ºC), ice could form in the cable and cause throttle sticking which could result in a loss of control and increase the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will lubricate the throttle cable to remove any moisture, and will install clamps on the cable to prevent water from entering.
