2016–2017 Gem El Xd Recall

On certain vehicles, the drive mode switch can send an improper electrical signal to the vehicle controller, resulting in an incorrect drive direction selection. When the vehicle is shifted to forward, due increased resistance in the circuit, it may cause the vehicle to controller to shift to reverse. This could result in unintended vehicle movement, potentially resulting in injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the drive switch with a new more reliable switch.
