2016–2017 Gem E2 Recall

On certain vehicles, an electrical fault in the drive mode switch could result in an incorrect drive direction selection. This could cause the vehicle to be immobile or to move in reverse when forward is selected, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will install an improved drive mode switch system. Note: This recall supersedes recall 2016-659. Vehicles repaired as part of the previous recall will require re-inspection and repair.
