2021 Newmar Essex Class A Motorhome Recall

Issue: On one motorhome built on a Spartan chassis, a defect in the power steering pump could cause it to fail. If this happens, there could be a loss of power steering assist. Safety Risk: A loss of power steering assist may result in a sudden increase in steering effort, especially at low speeds. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Newmar will notify the owner by mail and instruct them to take their motorhome to an authorized Shyft Group Inc. repair facility to replace the power steering pump.
