Hazard description
Issue: Certain vehicles do not meet a performance requirement of Canadian regulations for crash protection. In particular, the vehicles do not meet the minimum performance requirements for an out of position 3-year-old or 6-year-old child located on the front passenger seat during certain low speed crashes. Safety Risk: An airbag system that does not meet the performance requirements of Canadian regulations could create an increased risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Tesla will notify owners by email and provide an over-the-air firmware update that changes the calibration of the restraint control module.
