Issue
Hazard description
Issue: On certain trucks, the high-voltage positive cables from the battery packs to the manual service disconnect (MSD) may be marked with blue tape instead of white tape. A high-voltage cable with the wrong markings may indicate to a first responder, technician, or customer that the cable is de-energized, when it still has power. Safety Risk: A high-voltage cable that isn't marked correctly could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Navistar will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealership to install white marking tape and warning labels on the high-voltage cables from the battery packs to the MSD.
