Hazard description
Issue: On certain vehicles, there may be a problem with the steering gear. As a result, there could be a sudden change in steering feel and an increase in steering effort. Safety Risk: A sudden change in steering effort could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mazda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the spring engaging the worm gear in the steering gear assembly and reapply grease to the gear teeth.
